Wife: Ruth Biddell Thompson

Employment: Architect in private practice in Southport, North Carolina since 1985.  Thirty three years of professional experience.

Education:  Graduate of North Carolina State University School of Design, 1977 with Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture.

Community:  Served on the Brunswick County Schools Bond Referendum Executive Committee, volunteer and mentor through Communities in Schools (CIS), Brunswick County Planning Board from 1991 to 1998, Brunswick County Equalization and Review Board from 1991 to 1999, serving as chairman for two terms.

Awards:  Award of Merit from the North Carolina School Boards Association.
