The Brunswick County Transportation Department executed Operation Checkpoint Charlie Thursday, June 7, 2012 for all fleet vehicles and drivers.

 

According to Executive Director of Operations Steve Miley, the exercise is designed to monitor vehicle condition, ensure proper paperwork is maintained in the vehicle, and verify assigned drivers hold valid license.  The annual checkpoint is conducted in addition to routine maintenance performed on the vehicles throughout the year.
